Kynlee is so funny! The things she says crack me up on a daily basis. These are just a few things I don't want to forget at this stage and her sweet pronunciation of certain words.

- every single night she says "tell me about Jessie". That is the horse on pappa and nana San's farm.
- she told me the other day that Jesus was in her heart. When I asked how she knew she said "he just jumped right in!"
- hanitizer= hand sanitizer
-cina rolls= cinnamon rolls
-woovie=movie
- She is such a loving friend...constantly hugging and loving on her friends. Sometimes unwanted! ;)
-every morning usually around 6:30 am she walks in my room as cheerful as can be and says "make me beckfast!"
- I love when she declares time with me "ghoul time!!"
- she loves having her nails painter and hair dried on a daily basis!
- she told Ky the other morning "you wook handsome bruder!"
-and this picture was taken right after she pranced in the living room
and said "dis shirt is perfect!"

Thanksgiving Parties

Both of the kiddos had Thanksgiving performances/parties and it was fun to see them with their friends.

Funny Story:

I asked Kynlee to stand here so I could take her picture and real loud (more than 3 times) she said " A certain child who will remain nameless goes to time out!" I kept trying to quiet her down considering all the parents were in the room and I didn't want his parents to hear her! Apparently that is the time out spot and since I asked her to stand there for her picture I guess she wanted to make it clear! Geez, nothing is a secret with a 3 year old!

My little Dorothy!

We borrowed this precious costume from my cousin and Kynlee quickly fell in love with the wig. She would wear it EVERYWHERE (yes even in public) and would say "Mommy, I love my long hair!" She tells me all of the time that she wants brown hair like me and not white. Ha!

If you know Kynlee at all, this picture sums up her personality perfectly!!

I love that I found Ky's costume on the clearance rack several months before Halloween just to throw in the dress up tub for $5, added a sequined heart and it worked out perfectly! Then RirRi and Trenty Bug were Glinda the good witch and a munchkin! Hilarious, right?!

Tulsa Run

Ever since I've started running again Kylan has asked to run a race with me. It has never worked out since the distances were a little further than I thought he could handle. However, since I am still not 100% from my stress fracture I haven't been able to run very far so when his school had a sign up for the Tulsa Run Fun Run. I knew this would be "our race". He was so excited!

Baby Girl Turns 3

Oh my sweet, sweet girl! I am going to do my best to write a little post about you, but there is so much to your precious personality I'm not sure I can do it justice.
You are incredibly funny and love to make people laugh. Your personality is still as feisty as ever, but sprinkled with a sweetness that is to die for! I caught you the other morning while I was sleeping come in and quietly kiss my leg. (I am guessing that is all you could reach from the floor.) You love to give hugs and kisses. You are obsessed with animals! Especially the ones on Nana San and Poppa Chuck's farm. You know every one of them by name and make me tell you stories about them at night. You tell me frequently that you "weally" want a "weal" puppy.
You are ALL girl and love to play babies, dress up, and paint your nails. I love listening to you mother your babies. You are going to be an incredible mom one day! You've recently started wanting to spend lots of time with me and will claim it to be "Girl Time!" And I love every minute of it!

You are still a super picky eater. Unless it comes to sweets and then anything goes! You are still pretty petite and wear mostly 18-24 month and 2T clothes. Your favorite outfit is jammies though. You start stripping your clothes off the minute we get in the door and change into them! You love Dora, princesses, babies, and tea parties! You are bossy, yet loving. You love your friends to pieces too! Maggie and Clark are the 2 you talk about the most. You love ballet and dancing! You also love going to school and always ask me "what we doin' amorrow?" and get excited when I say school! You are an early bird like your daddy and have to eat immediately after waking.

This post does not even do your sweet self justice, but just know you are loved to the moon and back sweet girl!! You are everything I dreamed of and more!!

Pumpkin Patch...Again

Over fall break We got to keep Trenty and hang out while Foffy, Uncle Brent and Ri Ri went hiking. We had a little outing to the pumpkin patch and McDonalds lunch!

*A little side note...Kynlee cracks me up. She is definitely one of those kids who is either On or Off. Apparently she was Off this day. She did NOT want to have her picture made! Can you tell? ;)

My kids love to ride the ponies! It cracks me up. I mean how much fun can it be to walk in a tiny circle 3 or 4 times? Oh to be young again.

It's also a highlight to feed the animals.

We started and ended our trip with character meals which was fantastic! It kept us from waiting in any lines to "meet" the characters during the week. It is fabulous because they each come to your table during the meal and you can take pictures and have a quick visit. Of course Cinderella's Royal Table was one of the highlights for Kynlee!

While we were waiting a man pulled Kynlee to the side and out popped Cinderella's fairy godmother. It was fun to get to meet her and Kynlee thought she was real of course!

Once inside she was in awe of Cinderella!

Since everything was decorated for Halloween we had to stop and have Ky's picture made with the baseball scarecrow!

Our trip was so magical! I sort of had the blues when I got back! We will definitely be returning soon!

Epcot and Hotel

We spent the least amount of time at Epcot. Unfortunately we didn't make it to more than 1 country of the World tour, but by the time we went to this park the kids were more interested in going back to the hotel to swim. We did all the rides and interactive science stuff at the front of the park though and enjoyed it a lot!

Turtle Talk with Crush was great! We got to see a few marine animals before we went in.

The girls did the Nemo ride a couple extra times while the boys rode Test Track! There were very few rides for Kynlee here, but she didn't seem to mind and she LOVED Nemo!

These jellyfish looked so real! Disney really does an amazing job!

The great thing about our hotel was they piped the music in from the Wishes firework show at Magic Kingdom and we could stand on our beach and watch and hear them!

Our pool was fabulous! The kids loved the volcano slide!

Animal Kingdom

After Hollywood Studios we headed over to Animal Kingdom. Loved that park. Wish we would have had a little more time to explore all the animals and shows, but we still had a blast!

The main excitement here is the Safari. I only included a few animal pictures but we saw every kind of Safari animal you can imagine!

If you look real carefully you can see giraffes!

I thought this tree was cool. It stays leafless 9 months out of the year!

We had little delay so I took a few pictures. There was an animal in the road that didn't want to move! It got a little hot out there!

Sister loved the parades!

I only included this picture so you could see how drenched I was. They had a water rapid ride there. On my itinerary I even included to put my pancho on when riding it. However Lyndsi, Chris, and Ky rode it first and got off practically dry so they told me I didn't need it. I listened and when I rode it I got SOAKED!! I could have rung my clothes out they were so wet! Oh well! Memories!

Hollywood Studios

Wednesday was a crazy day for us since we decided to do 2 parks in one day! Our morning was spent at Hollywood Studios which contained Kylan and us adults' favorite rides.

This picture cracks me up! My sister was the best "Fast Pass Collector" ever! She made sure she was belly up to rope drop every time! For those that know La La know this is a perfect job for her personality! :) We could not have done it without her!

The mad rush to Toy Story Mania is the CRAZIEST thing I ever experienced. People literally running to get to this ride. If you don't ride it first thing, forget about it! It won't happen! The waiting area again was precious!

Tower of Terror was one of Ky's favorite rides while we were in Disney. It's an old hotel and you get on the elevator and it raises and drops you super fast several times in the dark.

Since sister couldn't ride it I took her to get a Minnie Mouse tattoo!

Lightening McQueen

Yes I had a wardrobe change for Kynlee. We were off to Animal Kingdom and she had to wear her zebra Minnie Mouse dress. Ha!

Magic Kingdom

After we ate at Chef Mickey's the night we arrived we decided to go on to Magic Kingdom on a whim. It was raining (the only day we saw rain!) and it was 2 hours before the park closed so the crowds were thin. We were able to ride some of the most popular rides and see the Electrical parade. It was a great beginning to the trip!

We had been up since 4:30 am Tulsa time so the kids were OUT on the way out of the park!

The next morning started all the "Itineraries of fun!' It really was the big joke of the trip that I brought my detailed maps of each park with the order we would ride each attraction and see each show. I know they joked, but it really did keep us from standing in ANY lines! (Thanks KB for all your help! )

Seriously, Disney does an incredible job decorating the "waiting" spaces. Thankfully we were able to walk right through most of them, but it was fun to see!

These next 2 aren't the greatest pictures, but it shows how empty the park was. September is a great time to visit. We will not ever purposely plan a trip during peak season after enjoying such a low key time.

There really were people there, but we just happened to catch a time to take a picture when people were elsewhere! Of course Kynlee didn't want to cooperate, but we will keep this and show it to her one day!

Of course we had to get the iconic Mickey ears!

We have had our Disney trip booked since January so to say our kids were excited that it finally arrived would be an understatement. We used this adorable count down method 14 days out I got from my friends I used to teach with.

These are paint sample cards and we took one down a day until we left. It was a good visual for them!

This was also my kiddos first airplane trip. They did fabulous!! I had to include all of this sequence so you could really see Kynlee's sassy personality. I am praying over her now for her teenage years!

She finally decided she would smile. Poor Kylan...usually always obedient.

And her sassy self is back shortly after. :)

Ky loved the ride!

Kynlee did a lot of coloring and eating while we flew. :)

Except the one leg each way that I told her was a "napping flight" and everyone had to sleep. Thankfully she believed me and slept great!

We stayed at the Polynesian hotel. It was fabulous!

The kids liked finding all the hidden Mickey Mouse heads throughout the hotel and parks. THis one greeted us when we arrived.

The first night we arrived we headed straight to Chef Mickey's for the character buffet. Kynlee's face was priceless the entire time. She couldn't believe they were there to see her!

We loved having La La with us! She was the biggest help all week!

Kynlee could not stop kissing the characters! She loved them so much! Her age was truly magical for the characters. Ky liked them too, but sister was in Heaven!

Pluto was teaching her to stick her tongue out like his!

California Girls!

My cousin, Jessey, and I made a girl's trip to California and had a blast together. It was a quick trip, but we felt like we did just the right amount of "touristy" and "local" things.

Off to sunny California!

Colton took us to the Hollywood Bowl the first night and introduced us to the fabulous new treat Happy Hippos! If you ever have a chance to eat one you'll be hooked!

I knew I wanted to do some shopping while I was out there and I found myself a fabulous new purse. :) I feel like I monogram my fingers off so I deserved one! Thanks Heather for taking me to such a great mall!!

I'm wishing we had one of these bakeries here in Tulsa. They had super yummy food!

This was a potato ball. It was basically mashed potatoes filled with ground beef and then breaded and fried. What's not to love?! I could only eat 1/2 of one they were so big!

Saw a pretty rainbow. :)

Then Colton "DJ Chepshot" took us out on one of his gigs. He was the guest DJ and we had a blast dancing to his awesome playlist!

On our connecting flight in Dallas we ran into some of our best friends the Carikers coming back from Florida. The kids were super excited to see them walk off the plane with us!

Entry Make Over

I am the world's worst decorator. I just don't have an eye for that kind of thing so once again I hired my fabulous decorator to come in and redo my entry way and part of the formal dining. It is almost embarrassing to see my before pictures. We've lived here 3 years and I just brought what was in my old house and put it in this one. So very few things "fit" their space here.

BEFORE:

Yes there is a basketball goal hanging from my door. I've said it a million times, but all Ky likes to do is play sports so depending on the season my entry is a football field, baseball diamond and even a bball court.

I normally hang a season wreath on the wreath hanger, but never found something I loved for summer so it sat bare. Why didn't I just take it down?

One thing we have done since moving in here is texture, paint, and glaze the walls in the formal and master bath. I also changed the curtains. I wish I could do my entire entry, but it is one of those spaces that doesn't have a good "end" spot. It carries over down the hall way and all the way upstairs and our entry is very tall. So until we paint, it will stay this awful builder cream!

AFTER:

I love the chair and pillow! I also love how Megan helps me branch out with a statement piece that I normally wouldn't pick. That clear glass vase is filled with pillar candles.

I love these stacked mirrors!

Since we started pulling some blues out in the master bath, she is carrying it over throughout the house.

Once again pictures don't do it justice, but I love what she has done. Now the big decision is what room to do next? My master bedroom or living room. Both need new furniture as well so it is going to be a big job!!

2 Touchdowns Baby!

Well football season is upon us again! This year we are cheering for the Eagles! Ky had his first game Saturday and it was a success for sure!

It cracks me up because he is SO serious about the game.

Ky's first day of school

Kylan started school back on Aug. 11, but I am just now getting a chance to sit down and blog about it. We are loving Lincoln and his teacher so much! We had 1 teary morning last week, but I think it is just an adjustment to go to school everyday all day! He is making lots of new friends and loves seeing Ri Ri at school too!

Well Little Miss started preschool again this week and she is loving it! She is growing up so fast!!

She is in the middle 3's class and it makes me sort of sad since that is the class Ky started in when we started at Asbury.

Happenings around here

I have been a horrible blogger, but was set on catching up today! This summer has just flown by and I cannot believe it is time for school to start already. I am getting sad! Kylan starts full day, 5 day a week pre-K on Thursday. I am missing him already. Ha! Yes, he should be starting Kindergarten, but daddy said he needs a "growth year" for sports. Ha! He is one smart cookie though if you want my honest, non-biased (right!) opinion. Here is a funny story for you:

The other day he came up to me and said "Mommy when we get married, we are going to do this all of the time." I asked "what?" He then proceeded to show me this...

I have to admit I was a little taken back because at first glance all I saw was "S" and "E". I frantically asked him what it said and without missing a beat he said "Kiss". Like what else did you think it said! :) Now that I look at it, he did a pretty darn good job of sounding it out!

Here is another funny story he told me.

It has been blazing hot here if you didn't already know. We were walking into the hospital to visit a friend who had just had her baby and Kylan said "Jesus needs to settle down". I again asked for clarification. He said "Jesus needs to settle down! It's too hot out here. When it is super hot it is Jesus being happy and he need to settle it down. When it rains he is crying." I love the way kids think!

We went to a birthday party the other day at Bounce U. They always make you sign a waiver basically saying you won't sue them if you get hurt. Now I know why....

Ky broke his finger going down one of their slides. The horrible part is it took me a week and half before I finally took him to the dr. He complained that it hurt, but I kept telling him he'd be fine. OOPS! He is one tough cookie! Off to the hand dr. we go in the morning!

I've started training for my first 1/2 marathon. Here are some of my running friends at the bedlam run. We decided to sport our favorite school colors in our tutus. Chris is also training for a sprint triathlon, so we have both been busy running and getting ready for our races!

Early in the summer I took Kynlee for her first manicure and pedicure! She had a blast!

How big does she look with her little purse on her arm. I cannot wait to be best friends with this little girl as she grows up!

I took a month off of embroidery to hang with my family and it was the best thing I ever did. I feel like we got in lots of swimming and hanging out time. We are on the countdown to our big Disney trip in September and looking forward to cooler weather too!

We enjoyed swimming with our friends, the Carikers and Butlers, one night. The kids had a ball and the adults enjoyed themselves as well!

It is a tradition that we visit the Bartlesville Kiddie Park every summer. We went this year and had a blast. Trent and Eli joined us and rounded out our numbers.

This was right after Chris went skydiving and Ky said "We are going to be jumping out of an airplane!" HA!

What a fun night! Kynlee was at the perfect age and loved all of it...even the roller coaster!

Mud Run 2011

This year we assembled a big group of friends and family and participated in the Mud Run. It was so much fun. We were supposed to run at 6:00 pm and if you live anywhere in the area you know we have had record highs...reaching 115 degrees for weeks without relief. Of course the time we signed up for would be the night we experience the first sight of rain in weeks! It was a microburst that took down trees and utility poles, but that didn't stop us.

We had to make 2 teams because we had so many people so we were the DIRTY DIEZ (10 in Spanish) and MAS CINCO (plus 5). I never knew how short I looked next to everyone else. Ha!

The run is basically 1.5 miles with muddy obstacles sporadically placed.

I'm the one bent over. Apparently this puddle about took me out! Ha!

There were walls to climb, giant slip in slides down hills, army crawling through mud, etc. We all made it out and had a blast!

We enjoyed a post race dinner after we rinsed off in a garden hose. Ha!

That was one of the most fun things I have done in a long time! Can't wait until next year!

Big Girl Hair Cut

Poor Kynlee has hair struggles all her life. First being born without any, taking forever to grow, and then growing all crazy like! :) It is the kind of texture that if you run your fingers through it, it will stand out just like you left it.

We took her to Ms. Tammy for her first real hair cut and she did beautifully! She talked about it for days before and was so excited!

She sat real still and did just what she was told!

It was precious when it was all done and so much healthier.

She sat patiently while I had my hair done. We giggled at her sitting over there "reading" Reader's Digest like a big girl!

She gets more and more fun everyday! I love hanging out with her and doing "girly" things! Stay tuned for the manicure post! :)

June 28 THEN AND NOW

June 28, 2006 was a day that changed my life forever. It's hard to believe this picture was taken 5 years ago just a few hours before he was born.

My hair was so blonde. I have forgotten who did my hair back then, but so glad my hair girl now keeps it real with me! ;)

This boy came into the world a little differently than I had planned! I remember 2 days before he was born planning a c-section with my doctor because this little guy had a huge head and wasn't coming out the way I preferred! I was a little bummed but I quickly realized that it doesn't matter how your babies come into this world as long as they are healthy!

I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday and here he is today! OH my...they grow up way too fast!

He was so excited his birthday morning when he opened his very own iTouch!

He had his very first all boy party! They are different than all girl parties. :) It consisted of kickball, soccer, and dodgeball!

Love this little boy more than anything!

Kylan some of your favorite things are sports (all of them!) and really anything boyish! You are still a picky eater (don't even get mommy started on this subject), are incredibly sweet and kind, you love to learn and love math and patterning. You like to do puzzles and play games. You love to watch sports on TV, ESPN, and reality TV! You love to go to church and play with your friends. You love babies and are so great with them! You are 41 1/4" tall and weigh 41.2 pounds. I wouldn't change a thing about your precious personality!

We have been super busy around here with birthdays and other summer fun!

Real Friends from the OC

So yes, I have a guilty pleasure of watching Real Housewives of OC. But little did I know I'd make some great friends from OC. We were asked by a local adoption agency if we would be willing to host a family who was traveling to Tulsa to adopt a baby. We agreed and I am so thankful for a life long friendship that was created.

This sweet family arrived late May and we got to celebrate Mark's birthday. He even got to eat on the You are Special Plate. :)

We played out side, ate out, swam, and had some late night Bachelorette watching fun!

I know you are reading Heather and don't act like you aren't hooked! I'll be calling you next Monday night to recap the episode. HA!

Their little boy Emerson made an impact on the kiddos. They left today and Kynlee is already asking where Emerson is.

Heather was sweet and answered all my shallow questions about "Is it really like this...in OC", tell me about the famous people you've seen, etc."

Although things didn't work out like we had expected, I am so thankful God placed this family in our lives. We will miss them dearly and know we will see them again soon. I'm coming to Temecula and will need a tour of the city Heather so start preparing my room. :)

Summertime is here and there is nothing we love more than playing with friends, hanging outside, swimming, and eating snocones.

We made a visit to the local Orange Leaf and ended up letting the kids play in the fountain! The looks on their faces say it all!

Another favorite thing to do is head to the park to feed the ducks and fish!

This one cracks me up. Ky wanted a kiss and Kynlee pulls her sassy self away and says "NO!" She is hilarious...and he is so sweet and patient with her!

Oh Kynlee you are growing up way to fast! You have turned into a beautiful little girl with just enough sass and spunk to keep us laughing (of course when you aren't looking) and sweetness to melt our hearts. You still love babies, having your nails polished, hair fixed, and truly anything girly! You are loving going to the pool and being very independent. You want to dress yourself, fix your own hair, pick your own shoes and really I just want you to slow down just a little bit! You are very much a morning person and just cheerful as can be when you wake up.

You are an extremely picky eater. I thought your brother was bad, but boy you even put him to shame. You love chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, fish sticks, and pizza. (All healthy choices, I know!) Well that and anything that contains sugar!

You adore animals and love to go to Nana San and Poppa Chuck's farm. You aren't afraid of any of the animals and love to be in the barn. You are usually very polite and say please and thank you! And all of those nights that I was worried you weren't talking make me laugh now, because you are definitely a talker. You do not like anyone else to sing and usually tell us we are "hurting your ears!"

June 28, 2006 was the best day ever. This little 8lb, 8oz. bundle of love made me a mommy!

Kynlee's class had us a breakfast too with songs and sweet pictures!

Our family became complete October 29, 2008 when this little 8 lb. 9 oz bundle of energy came into the world!

I love this one of her because she was really singing! She never wants any of us to sing at home and tell us we "hurt her ears." Love her!

Where has the time gone?

I feel like I never have time to sit down and blog anymore. I used to make sure I blogged at least once a week. Now it's more like once a month. I feel like I looked up and it is already May. Where has the time gone?

Chris and I went to a charity event with our friends and it was so much fun!

We've had some fun play dates with our friends! These 4 crack me up when they are together!

We are dreaming of our vacation here! The kids talk about it daily. We are still too far away to start counting the sleeps, but it doesn't stop our dreaming.

I am still busy, busy, busy with embroidery but between jobs LATE, LATE at night I sneak in a DVRd show. This Oprah was one of my favorites. I adore Julia, I want to be her friend. She seems so normal. Well you know, normal in a movie star kind of way. Do you have a celebrity you'd like to be friends with? I'd also love to be friends with Reece Witherspoon. A girl can dream, right?!

I have been training since January to run a 10K race. I did it a few weeks ago and I was happy with my time for my first 10K. Then last weekend I ran in the OKC Marathon Relay with 4 of the most awesome girls in my life! I ran a 10K leg of the race and it was rainy, super cold, windy, and it even hailed at the end. The good news is I wanted to be done so bad I ran my PR which was 5 minutes faster than the weekend before. It was such a fun time even if the weather didn't cooperate.

Apparently I missed the "wear blue"memo.

We are super excited that we officially have a Bulldog at our house! Kylan got accepted to Lincoln Christian school for next year. It really was a God thing. I'll have to share that story sometime. He couldn't be more excited!

Yesterday it was so warm we even got a little sun! The kids played in the sprinklers and had a blast!

Kynlee decided she wanted to wear shorts like bubby. We are going to have to work on that considering she has about 10 swimsuits to wear this summer. :)

We are so ready for summer and the warm weather! Everyday we drive by the pool Kynlee says she wants to swim in the big pool! Hope that doesn't change after she starts swimming lessons.

First Zoo Trip of the Season

The weather has been fabulous here and we took advantage of it and went to the zoo with our friends.

We got to the tortoise exhibit right at feeding time so the kids got to watch them eat and pet them. I asked Kynlee what they felt like and she said "rocks". I'm guessing she means hard and bumpy.

Zora and Lily's mom, Tara, and I have been friends since middle school. People used to think we were twins. Which is really funny, because what mom would name her twins Tara and Terra?! She is expecting baby number 3 in August. Can't wait to meet little Seth! It is so fun to watch our kids grow up together!

I know I write about Kynlee a lot. She is just at an age right now where she cracks us up (and sometimes makes me want to scream and pull my hair out!) and I don't want to forget any of it!

She is as girly as they come, but this picture made me smile. She was playing ball with bubby, but had to have on her high heels that sing! Ha!

And if you know son at all you know he is all boy and loves sports, but he has an obsession with babies! He loves babies and is really precious with them. I found the kids doing this the other night. Evidently Kynlee is the baby and her brother is taking good care of her and feeding her a baby bottle!

I wish Kynlee would hold still long enough to get a good picture of her. Here is my lousy attempt!

The other day we had to miss Kylan's field trip to the zoo due to an appt. with the allergy doctor. By the way, not sure if I posted or not, but he is NOT allergic to peanuts. Dr. said those were some of the worst hives he has ever seen, but right now we are going to assume maybe they were caused from a virus. Unless it happens again and we can figure it out. Anyway, I told him I would take them for a special lunch and we could go anywhere he'd like. Know where he picked? Carl's Jr. ICK! But it was his choice so we went and they loved it! Their faces while playing made it all worth it!

We've been enjoying the beautiful weather and spending time outside and playing with friends!

I got an early mother's day gift. My 10K I've been training for is Saturday and Chris bought me this so I'd have it for the run. I love that is tracks my pace, heart rate and distance and is ACURATE!

We had our first tornado watch of the year and that means we must take cover and watch nothing happen. Actually there are parts of OK that suffered some horrible damage and loss, but thankfully we were safe!

We love our friends to pieces! How many kids can you cram in a power wheel vehicle?!

Kynlee is all about dress up right now. Keely and sister had a blast being princesses!

I cracked up when I went to pick the kids up at the gym after I worked out and found this. Ky had her all dresses up!

Kylan made us all name tags the other night. He made Kynlee's without any help at all. ;) got to give it to him! Pretty close!

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming

Oh my, if you aren't in for a LONG babbling post, might want to skip this one. I don't even know if I have a picture to share, but if there are still readers out there and you have some words of wisdom, something to make me laugh, or a large Sonic DP waiting for me, please comment and let me know!
I am having one of those months where I am absolutely and completely overwhelmed. So here goes some random bullets of what I am consumed with at the moment;

- Tickled Sew Pink is blowing up! It's absolutely amazing and overwhelming at the same time. I cannot believe how blessed I am! Still trying to figure out the time management part. Thought I'd take myself a little break and not embroider for a few nights....WRONG. Chris's grandfather passed away last week so I used my "break" to make a 8 hour drive to Houston, 24 hours there, and 8 hour drive back in one weekend. Not the kind of break I was looking for. Not complaining, it was great to see family, I just miss the days when after my kids were in bed, Chris and I would stay up and watch our shows together. I don't know the last time we did that. I miss quality time with my hubby! I long for the night when I am in bed before midnight. But again, counting my blessings that business is good.

-I need to learn to say no and that it is okay.

- I started training to run a 10K at the end of Jan. My race is at the end of the month and then I am doing the marathon relay in OKC the following weekend. I am loving it, but not loving the 4 day a week training part. It is time consuming. My wonderful hubby is tired too. He keeps the kids twice a week during the evenings so I can run with my group. Remember, my love language is quality time, so anytime "girl's night" comes up I feel guilty for going, b/c I've already used up my time out of the house I feel like running.

-I found out Monday one of my precious former students died in a car wreck. I am heartbroken. He was precious and super funny! I had him for 2 years in 3rd and 4th grade. He was his parents only child. I cannot even imagine their heartache and can't stop thinking about them. I dug out old pictures and had myself a good cry.

-Kylan is playing tball and soccer.....do I even need to comment on what that does to our schedule with a practice for each a week and also at least one soccer and one tball game if not 2 a week.

-I feeling bad for jacking up a customer's business order. Well not really jacking it up, but ordering the wrong size shirt. Saw XXXL as XXL....UGH! I hate when I make dumb mistakes like that. It's the first child syndrome, I'm super hard on myself and get down when I feel like I disappoint. Thankfully this sweet customer is a friend, but still I am feeling guilty.

-My iron nearly caught on fire today. Smoke everywhere....YIKES! Thank goodness I was home, but it also means I'm out of an iron until I find time to go to Target. If you know me at all you know my obsession with ironing. I hardly ever take my ironing board down and iron EVERYTHING. Don't know what I will do in the morning!!

- I feel horrible for yelling at my kids tonight for deciding to "paint" with acrylic paint tonight in the gameroom AKA rub it all over their hands and arms and the table. I should also state it was probably half my fault for not watching them, but laying on the couch watching DWTS from Monday night half asleep. Ky felt horrible and looked at me and said sorry mommy it's just for pumpkins. Oh boy, he knows how to make me feel bad. I shouldn't have raised my voice. Love those kiddos!

-I've had major ADHD of the brain lately. I have been horrible about interrupting people when they talk. I am fully aware of it, but literally sometimes words come blabbing out before I can even think. It is b/c there is so much going on in my head. I'm going to try to start being a better listener. I'm sorry friends! I know I am guilty. Working on it!

-Still waiting on Kylan's allergy testing results. I hate waiting! We've been avoiding peanut products like the plague and it's getting old already. Do you know how many things have peanut oil in the or have been made in a plant with peanut products...A LOT!!!

Just to ease you mind, I'm not just sitting here blogging when I should be working. My machine is punch punch punching away as I type.

One nice thing is the weather is warming up so hopefully my head will come above water soon so I can enjoy it!
Sorry to be a debby downer tonight. Tomorrow is Ky's first tball game of the season. I'm super excited to see my little slugger. I'll post pictures soon!

Allergy alert

Thursday morning we were planning on leaving for a trip to Edmond and while getting dressed I noticed this:

Gave Benadryl and called our pediatrician. We visited him and was told Kylan was having an allergic reaction to something. No big deal, continue benadryl and call in the am. About an hour after our visit he looked like this:

Worried a little but went on with our day because I couldn't think of anything we had done differently or what could be causing it. That was until it spread to his face and I got concerned. I took him in to the urgent care and was told he was in an anaphylactic response. He had an oral dose and a shot of steroids and it calmed way down and was off the face so we left.

I remembered we had made chex mix the night before. Ky didn't eat any peanuts but helped me mix it up using his hands. He isn't a peanut eater so thankfully all he did was touch them. By the time we got home from urgent care it had flared up again about 10 times worse. It landed us in the emergency room. Thankfully no breathing issues, just awful hives, itchy throat, and swelling.

So as of now we are treating this as a severe peanut allergy until we can get him tested in a few weeks.

I never knew how many products (not just foods) have peanuts, peanut oil or are processed in a place with them that there really are. I am a crazy woman now reading every label I come in contact with. When it is your child, you do whatever it takes to keep them safe!

We have had a busy, busy month! Kynlee is officially potty trained. It seems so crazy to know I won't have to buy anymore diapers. Kylan has started reading recently and is EAGER to learn and do his "school work". Even more crazy that my baby can recognize sight words! Kynlee on the other hand has no desire WHAT.SO.EVER to show me what she knows. Her teacher said she can count to 10 and say her ABCs. I've yet to hear her. :) I've been busy with Tickled Sew Pink and training for my big run at the end of April. Chris has been in Houston all week with Grandaddy. We are sad that he was diagnosed with Leukemia on Friday and the prognosis is not what we would want so I am glad Chris is getting some precious time with him. I am also so thankful that we were able to spend Thanksgiving with him. He truly is an amazing man that his entire family looks up to!
I'll try to be better at blogging. I know I've been slacking!

Well we are all pretty much up to our eyeballs in snow around here. It's been too cold to even get out to play in it. Chris and Kylan did manage to go sledding with our neighbors though. Sister and I opted for a nap!

This is the snow drift that was on our porch Tuesday morning when we woke up. It got even taller as the day went on. Literally I could have climbed on my roof from it had it been sturdy enough to stand on. We probably had about 14" of snow Tuesday and we got more today and it looks like it's not over yet.

We've been trying to stay busy being stuck inside for 4 days, but I'm running out of ideas.

We made homemade play dough...

We have watched lots of movies, played games, and had a dance party. We bundled up for about a 15 second walk outside to our front porch.

Sister and I painted our nails and toes.

We played with stickers and decorated Valentine's Day boxes.

The thing that has entertained the very most was bringing our Bouncy House inside. It has been hours of fun! We even had our neighbor friends over to enjoy in on the fun!

We made yummy snow ice cream. I was a little skeptical at first, but that stuff is delicious!

I'm all caught up on embroidery orders except for the few I received last night and today.

I figured what the heck, might as well try potty training while we are home for a while. 1 accident is all we've had today, but no successes either. She did pee in her diaper at naptime, so not sure how that counts.

We have done exercise videos on the TV. It's a nice substitution for the gym and I must say I was more sore after 1 Jillian Michaels workout than I am when I go to the gym! That girl is killer!

Sister is LOVING her new big girl panties but keeps telling me she wants Tiana panties. I keep promising her when we can get to Target I will look for some.

I am one of those people who has to get out everyday even if it's just to go to the gym or run an errand. So needless to say this weather is cramping my style! ;)

I had to see some new faces today so daddy took us to Chick Fil A. It helped a little and I think will help hold me over a few more days. :) The kids enjoyed getting to play and eat their favorite ice cream with sprinkles. I loved seeing my friend, Becky, there too. We even took a little loop around the parking lot in her car so we could visit a little longer. I'm telling you people...it's the little things when you don't get out! I am trying to savor this precious time with my family and I am getting lots done, but we are all in need of some new activities!

***While typing this entry, Kynlee went potty in her big girl potty! Add do the potty dance to our list of activities along with eating a few Skittles to celebrate! WHOO HOO!!*** I probably just jinxed myself typing that, but we are going to keep trying and see where this goes.

Busy Little Bees

We've been busy little bees since I've last posted. We had our first real snow and Kynlee loved getting all bundled up to play. If she only knew we are expecting 8-12" tonight. Oh my she is going to be thrilled!!

All Kylan talked about it making snow angels. He is hoping this next snow is better for snow balls!

Of course sister must try everything bubby does! Here is her snow angel!

Ky started basketball and is loving it. He is the shortest one on the team, but it hasn't stopped his skills. I think one of his best attributes is that he perseveres. He doesn't let anything stop him. He even made 4 or 5 baskets last Saturday. I love watching his face, he is so serious!

Kynlee is very opinionated and wanted to wear her glasses last weekend to watch Ky's game. She is hysterical!

We asked for them to say cheese, but it looks like they were more proud of their new souvenirs.

Beautiful...Inside and Out

Extreme Makeover

Okay maybe not really extreme, but a makeover nonetheless! When we moved into this house, we loved that most of it was move-in ready, but knew there were still things we could change/add to make it "ours". Well I am great at "thinking" of things I want to do, now follow through is a completely different story. I did finally about 1 1/2 years ago texture, paint and glaze our walls in our master bath and formal dining room. Now the problem lies after that...I never decorated the bathroom. It's been bare, cold, and pretty boring since.

I did change light fixtures and towel bars, but found out I have commitment issues when it comes to hanging stuff on the walls. I might find something I like, but never would buy it and hang it up. What if I didn't like it once it was up? It seems so permanent once you have holes in the wall. Silly, right?

I don't love the tile, I am not a big fan of the solid white cabinets, and I HATE the shower doors!

That was until today!! My new hero came to visit. I officially hired a grown up decorator to come do something to this cold, boring room! And now I want to sleep in here!

I love her ideas, style and the fact that she shops on a budget!!

I absolutely LOVE the mirror hanging on my large mirror. I would never have thought to do that!

She says every bathroom needs a clock. Who knew?

The only thing we have left to do is add hardware to the cabinets and hang the shower curtain (that is also fabulous I might add) to cover the awful shower doors! I sure wish my pictures did it justice, but they just don't! You'll have to come visit and don't think it's weird when I take you to my bathroom to hang out. I just love it that much!

Kylan didn't get to join us which was so very sad. We are having constant clothes battles. Any other mommas out there have these? And with a boy no less?!! I thought boys didn't care what they wore? Not Kylan, he changes clothes at least 4 times a day and usually more. Loves to be in his football pants and jersey, then changes to pjs, back to football clothes, then I can sometimes get him in "normal" clothes as long as it isn't a "button" shirt (which is anything BUT a t -shirt). Well this particular day I compromised and said he could wear the jersey, but had to wear a thermal under it. It was 30 degrees outside for crying out loud! Well that caused a full on meltdown. SIGH!!

Our NYE was a family friendly one, which is fine by me. We did make it until the ball dropped. I even let the kids stay up. They loved it! Sister finally fell asleep at 12:45 am and then woke up at 7 am. I did NOT LOVE THAT!

Whew! 5 Christmas celebrations and we were finally DONE!! Each one was very special because there is no where I would rather be than with family, but it makes for a long few days! Needless to say I took the tree down and put my house back together fairly quickly after all the excitement!

Christmas morning we always go to Nana San and Poppa Chuck's for breakfast. It is one of our favorite traditions. We just go in our pjs and it usually ends in a full belly and a big nap. It's great!

Santa did Good!

Santa seemed to make everyone happy this year!

Sister loved her kitchen and has spent countless hours since making us "yummy" things to eat and treating her babies to some great home cooking. Let's just hope she is better than her momma!

Ky got the one thing he has been asking for since last Christmas...a DSi!

I must say that Kynlee had the best reactions to everything she received. It was usually greeted by a big squeal, bright eyes, and sometimes even some jumping around.

Christmas Baking and Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve started with lots of baking and I'm pretty sure we are still eating the goods and will be forced to live at the gym the next few months!

This cracked me up. I was making these peanut butter chocolate cracker things (I really should figure out the name of these things, because I have no idea what it is, but they are heavenly!)

Every time I would turn around I would see little nibbles out of my cookies.

Then I saw this....how guilty is that face?!!

Doesn't Ky looked excited? I will be glad when the "fake smile" stage passes! We really were having fun!

We spent Christmas Eve with the Schultheis side of the family. It was a fun night of Christmas trivia, family, food, and even new Baby Silas got to make a debut! Yay for more kiddos!

My Little Santa Baby

Kynlee's class had their Christmas performance and it is always a hit or miss with this age. The Thanksgiving show most kids sat on their mom's lap and Ms. Kathy did all the singing. They were smart this time and made a DVD of the kids practicing during regular school and showed it before so we could see them in action. However, they surprised us all and put on quite the show. My little Santa Baby loved each and every minute of the attention.

Apparently being the center of attention and teacher's helper isn't just a ballet thing. She wanted to "help" Ms. Kathy too!

Kylan had his school Christmas show last week. It was precious. All the kids did such a wonderful job! Kylan is the angel Gabriel. If you can't hear what he is saying, his line is "God has chosen you to be the mother of his son Jesus!" I think all their costumes were wonderful! We feel blessed to go to such a great school.

Baby Ballerina

Oh my sweet little Ballerina had her "watch day" today where parents and grandparents could come and see everything we've learned. Kynlee is funny about ballet. She will usually do a song or 2 with me and then she wants to be in front of the class helping instruct with Ms. Raegan. So needless to say she was "on" today! I've Been Good

Kylan wrote his letter to Santa tonight. Here is what it says "Santa,

Hi Santa. Hope you are doing good. I would like a DS, I Touch, Pillow Pet. If you are good I'll make you cookies. Kylan"

A new tradition for us is The Elf on the Shelf. Ours is named Brooks. He watches us all day and then flies to the north pole each night and reports to Santa. When he comes back to our house he is always in a different spot than he left. It has been a huge hit here at our house and the kiddos LOVE looking for him each morning.

I'm not on top of shopping this year like normal. I probably have more gifts left to buy than I already have bought. AHHH!!!! I better get busy!
